Warriors have bad game as Grizzlies keep series alive.
Mostly every Golden State Warrior key player besides Klay Thompson had a horrible game as they went on to lose to the Memphis Grizzlies by an historic 39 points as the final score read 134-95.
The most shocking and surprising thing about last night’s game; the Grizzlies won without their MVP Ja Morant, as he sat out with a bone bruise and is more than likely out for the the rest of the series.
This Grizzlies team, however, is used to playing without Morant. With Morant hurt this season, the Grizzlies are 21- without, a surprising win total for a team with a superstar such as Morant.
Stephen Curry shot 4-10 (including 3-8 from 3 point range) and only tallied 14 points, while Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole who’s been hot these playoffs only score 5 points on 2-6 shooting and 3 points on 1-6 shooting.
Curry said “Everything” went wrong and Klay Thompson said “It was embarrassing” as the Warriors players tried to figure out exactly what went wrong in the game.
Desmond Bane who score a game high seemed to relish the fact the Grizzlies were without Morant.
“It almost seems like whenever somebody thinks we can’t do something, we end up doing it”, he said speaking on the Grizzlies being doubted and not given much of a chance to win without Morant. He continued, “I never want to put a limit on this team. Anything is possible”.
The next game between the Grizzlies and the Warriors will be played in Golden State Friday night at the Oracle Arena. If the Grizzlies win they can force a game 7 back home, but if the Warriors win, they win the series and advance to the Western conference finals to face the winner out of the Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks.
