Keyshawn Davis Speaks On The Most Recent Time He Sparred Gervonta Davis In Recent Interview (Updated)

Keyshawn Davis is a professional boxer, fighting in the 135 pound lightweight division and his name is buzzing in the media and heating up fast around the boxing world.

He has put together a few outstanding performances, capturing 10 knockouts in 14 professional fights with an undefeated record.

His most notable performance came in his most recent fight Nov. 8, where he stopped Gustavo Lemos in the 2nd round in astounding knock out fashion. Davis caught Lemos twice and dropped him twice with 2 right hands as Lemos made both standing eight counts, but on shaky legs. Davis hit Lemos with a few combination punches, eventually catching him and dropping Lemos with a right uppercut to end the fight.

After the fight Davis called out another “Davis” in his same weight division of 135 pounds: the main “Davis” that the whole world knows to be the WBA “Super” Lightweight Champion of the world Gervonta “Tank” Davis.

Since then, the two fighters have been seen trading shots with each other on X, and have even mentioned each other’s name in some of their more recent interviews.

We found an interview of when Keyshawan spoke with Fight Hype TV 4 years ago about a sparring match he and Tank had with each other.

“He surprised me with how much defense he had. He got good upper body movement and good legs when he use them. I learned that it’s not really easy to hit this guy”, said Keyshawn when asked about their sparring match.

Keyshawn has been in headlines recently for beating up another boxer (Nahir Albright) after their fight in which Davis won, he has had made it known publicly that he struggles with depression and anxiety issues, and he was recently suspended in 2023 due to testing positive for marijuana in his beforementioned fight.

Still, he has maintained and stated that he would like the opportunity to make the fight with Gervonta, if the opportunity presents itself.

Keyshawn’s last fight was Jan. 31 against Jermaine Ortiz, in which he won by technical knockout (TKO), while Tank’s last fight was a little while ago against Lamont Roach March 1, 2025, as Roach is stepped up a weight class to make his debut at the 135-pound lightweight division, as he’s been battling with domestic violence allegations and relationship issues over the last few years.

Now that the two fighters seem to be getting past their recent issues and look to be making full recoveries in the sport of boxing in the near future, who do you see winning a massive fight between the two? Give your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
