Gervonta Davis Vs. Ryan Garcia is finally going down
One of the biggest fights in boxing is finally here. Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia, two of boxing’s biggest stars in the 135 pound lightweight division and two of the biggest stars in boxing overall finally square off against each other tomorrow night, April 22, in what promises to be the biggest fight of the year so far.
Both fighters took the stage today at the weigh in to make 135 pounds and both fighters were successful. After, came the face off.
Davis and Garcia have both been engaged in a lot of back and forth disputes since their first press conference held in New York but every new face off has been more intense each time.
Both fighters have threatened to end each other's careers, guaranteed to be victorious and have insulted each other's character along the way.
It's safe to say there's a lot of bad blood between the two and Saturday night will finally give fans and boxing critics around the world the chance to see who will walk away with bragging rights as the sport’s biggest rising young superstar.
During the final weigh in, the two fighters came together for their final face off, and as usual the sparks flying from the energy in both fighters was nothing short of amazing.
Davis' pointing in Garcia's face during their bickering caused Bernard Hopkins to step in which sparked an ensuing altercation between the two as if they were meeting in the ring Saturday.
Davis' reasons: Hopkins needs to “sit his old ass down and let the youngings have their time.”
Whatever happens in the ring Saturday night, what can be for certain is the fact that these two fighters will undoubtedly bring a lot of action and energy to the ring as each fighter tries to stay unbeaten, give the other fighter their first loss of their career and stake their claim in the sport as boxing's biggest rising superstar in the sport moving forward.
Tell us who you are picking in tomorrow night's showdown when “King” Ryan Garcia meets Gervonta “Tank” Davis in the ring Saturday night at the T Mobile Arena on PPV, live from Las Vegas, Nevada.
