Gervonta Davis VS. Ryan Garcia & Errol Spence Vs Terence Crawford two of Boxing’s biggest fights in recent years to close out the year and bring in the New Year.
There has been a lot of talk and speculation in the boxing world with some of its biggest stars all making headlines for wanting the biggest names and fights. There have been yeses and no’s, maybes and almost, but there have never been definitive guarantees that any big fights would be made anytime soon.
It can now be said that boxing fans are getting 2 of the biggest fights that want to be seen around the world, as 4 of boxing’s biggest stars in the sport and in the hottest divisions have agreed to fight. Earlier in the week, stories broke via Twitter and YouTube blogs that 147 pound welterweight champion Terence Crawford agreed to all terms demanded of by Errol Spence and his team that would allow a fight to be made this year between the two champions.
Once Crawford signed his part of the contract, Spence quickly signed on as well, allowing for a Nov. 19th date to be first announced, barring any minor contract disputes that need to be worked out. These two welterweight champions will collide, both with unbeaten records, and will finally settle who is the true king of the division and more than likely the pound for pound king of the sport, as both are ranked 1 (Crawford) and 3 (Spence) respectively
A few days after announcements of both Crawford and Spence signing on to fight each other, there were rumors that lightweight superstars Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia also aggreed to fight each other on paper.
The fight, seeming to be scheduled later in December or early January, will make two of the biggest fights in boxing in recent years. Both fighters have confirmed that the news is true via their twitter pages. Ryan Garcia shared a tweet saying “War iscoming.” Tank retweeted Ryan’s tweet with lots of smoke emojis, insinuating that he is going to be a problem for Ryan Garcia.
All of these fighters have been tweeting, doing interviews, calling each other out at their post fight interviews and press conferences, but nothing has been able to manifest as to them actually fighting.
The wait is over, and the big fights start NOW!!! Who are you picking in both fights. Let us know in the comments section below.
